Each frame is handcrafted within our own workshop using carefully selected solid kiln-dried beech hardwood, a material chosen for its natural strength, density, and long-term reliability. The timber is fully seasoned before use, ensuring stability and resistance to movement over time.
Our beech is responsibly sourced from European forests certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), reflecting our commitment to sustainable manufacturing and environmental care. Working exclusively with certified wood allows us to combine craftsmanship with conscience.
Every frame is made entirely from the ground up by skilled makers who oversee the process from start to finish. Components are shaped and assembled using time-honoured joinery methods designed to maximise durability. Rather than relying on shortcuts, each connection is reinforced through a combination of precision dowelling, bonding, and mechanical fixing to ensure lasting strength.

For designs requiring a deeper, more traditional sit, individual coil springs are mounted to a steel framework. This system allows for generous vertical movement, excellent shock absorption, and outstanding shape retention over time. Coil units maintain seat height exceptionally well and can be cleanly restored or replaced as part of future refurbishment.

This process allows us to achieve a flawless fit while significantly reducing material waste. Any remaining off-cuts are thoughtfully repurposed into hand-finished swatches for our showrooms.

Smaller fabric sections are carefully selected and hand-stitched together by skilled machinists, transforming individual pieces into a unified covering. Each patchwork sofa is entirely unique—crafted slowly and deliberately, and unmistakably a labour of love.

Decorative studs are never applied using pre-made strips. Instead, each stud is individually positioned and hand-set directly into the frame, a slower but far superior method that ensures strength, accuracy, and lasting definition.
